About
There was a time when I hated writing.
Not because I didn’t have ideas, but because I had too many. My thoughts moved faster than my hands could keep up. Sentences came out tangled. My words felt jumbled. What lived clearly in my mind often looked chaotic on paper. For a long time, that frustration made me step away from writing altogether.
But growth has a way of reshaping what once felt like a weakness.
I learned to slow down. To organize. To refine. To trust the process. What once felt overwhelming became therapeutic. Today, writing is no longer a struggle, it’s a stress reliever. It’s clarity. It’s control. It’s freedom.
My love of storytelling began long before I ever wrote a book. It started with comic books. As a kid, I was captivated by the bold colors, layered narratives, and larger-than-life heroes. Over the years, that fascination turned into a collection, more than 400 comic books and counting. Those pages didn’t just entertain me; they taught me about structure, conflict, voice, and imagination. One day, I will create my own comic book. That dream still lives with me.
Now, I write books rooted in research, about ideas that matter. About issues shaping our communities, culture, and future. I write about topics that deserve attention but are often overlooked. I believe writing should inform, challenge, and leave readers thinking long after they close the final page.
We live in an age where attention spans are shrinking and books feel like they’re fighting to survive. Sometimes it feels like we’re standing on the edge of Fahrenheit 451, watching the slow erosion of deep thought and critical engagement. But I still believe in books. I believe in ideas preserved on paper. I believe in words that outlive us.
Clark Publishing exists because stories matter. Research matters. Perspective matters.
And I write for one simple reason: to leave my mark. To create something that says,
“Delante was here.”
